In our work with children, youth, families and communities, all Boys and Girls Clubs are guided by the following Core Values. These Core Values are the standard by which all Boys and Girls Club services are measured.

BGCCVI is a registered BC Non-Profit Society and a Charitable Organization- 106804016RR0001 governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. The Board of Directors is the legal entity and authority for the Club, empowered by law to direct the Club’s structure in order to fulfill the Club’s mission, mandate and strategic plan.
The Board has a governance role and provides overall guidance:
- oversees development of the strategic plan and monitors its progress;
- approves annual budget and ensures long-term viability;
- ensures conformance to the Society’s Constitution and Bylaws, and to Boys and Girls Clubs of Canada and other regulatory and industry standards;
- accounts to the public and funders through annual financial audit.
The Board members are volunteers, elected by voting members of the Society to two-year terms. They bring a variety of expertise about the organization, the clients and the communities served.
