Parenting Programs in the Comox Valley

Boys and Girls Clubs of Canada – Parenting Programs provide practical support ideas, in a safe, confidential environment for parents of preteens and teens.

Parenting Programs encourage parents to build upon their family strengths while exploring the development of an emerging teen/adult.

 

Parenting Without Power Struggles (10 weeks)
An education and group support program for parents of preteens ages 8-12. Explore adolescent development, respectful communication, boundary setting and parental self-care.
Thursdays, 1:30pm – 3:30pm
Starting October 4th

Parents in the Know (10 weeks)
A weekly education and group support program that helps parents of teens (ages 13-18) explore ways to improve communication skills, resolve conflicts, and build positive relationships.
Tuesdays, 7:00pm – 9:00pm
September 25th to November 27th

Parents Together (On-going)
A weekly education and group support program that helps parents of teens (ages 13-18) explore ways to improve communication skills, resolve conflicts, and build positive relationships.
Wednesdays, 7:00pm – 9:00pm
Starting September 12th

Provincially, Parenting Programs are generously funded by the Ministry of Children and Family Development. Locally Parenting Programs are funded by United Way Northern and Central Vancouver Island, the Province of British Columbia and the Ministry of Children and Family Development.
