Using innovation to solve social problems and create new possibilities
Through in store promotions and youth employment and career training programs, Gap Inc. has worked with Boys and Girls Clubs of Canada to support our goal of a successful future for Canada’s young people.
CareerLaunch is a pre-employment program made possible through support from the Gap Foundation. Grants go towards starting CareerLaunch programming, which gives youth, aged 13-18, important career preparation skills and helps them find a job to meet their abilities and interests. Since 2009, more than 500 youth have participated in a CareerLaunch program.
Old Navy’s ONward! platform empowers the next generation with the real-world skills, training and jobs to make a difference in our communities and blaze a path forward to a brighter future. Their partnership with Boys and Girls Clubs of Canada focuses on programs and activities that promote character development and leadership in meaningful and fun ways for thousands of youth across the country. BGCCVI is proud to work with the local team at Old Navy to bring the ONward! program to the youth in our Teen Centre Program.
