The Teen Entrepreneur Club (TEN) is for youth aged 13-18 who are interested in building a strong financial future through the world of entrepreneurship. The program supports youth who are looking to design their own destiny by gaining valuable business knowledge, networking with local businesses in the Comox Valley, building peer relationships, and developing leadership skills.
The TEN Club will offer a positive and supportive space where youth can explore, interact, gain confidence and knowledge for future endeavours. Here’s the twist – at the end of each session participants will pitch their business plan at our “Teen Tycoon” showdown for a chance to win a prize package of the supplies, services and support they need to bring their business to the next level.
There are two sessions per year – Monday and Friday nights from 6:00-8:00pm at 243 4th Street Office in Courtenay. The program is drop-in based, but the more you choose to take part, the better your odds at the “Teen Tycoon” showdown!
Here is a sneak peek at some of the topics to be covered:
- The Mind of an Entrepreneur
- Developing that Bright Idea
- Your Business is Called What?
- Get Your Product Out There
- Ready, Set, Launch
- Nurturing Your Business
