Youth involved in peer-based programs, are less likely to take part in risky behaviour.
The Purple Girlzillas program encourages rich and supportive friendships between female-identifying youth with opportunities to develop self-esteem, self-efficacy, and self-worth.
Program Description
Purple Girlzillas participates in a variety of events and activities like yoga, jewelry-making, drama nights, indoor camp night, random acts of kindness, scavenger hunt, swimming, fashion shows, and spa nights. These activities will give youth who attend an opportunity to create positive relationships with their peers and the adult leaders. Through these positive relationships we hope to create a safe environment where personal development can occur.
